Ocean's water cooling my feet
Yet I still can't beat the sun's strong heat
Can't escape, it knows where I'm going
The sun's rays keep on growing
Burning through the layers of sunscreen on my skin
Making me hotter than I have ever been
When I stop to breathe, it stops too
The sun does whatever I seem to do
But when I run into the ocean
Into a world of constant motion
The sun stops chasing and watches me go
Then it sinks back into its world of woe
At first I could not get away
The rays heat I thought would stay
But up comes the moon, reflecting the sun's light
Bringing with it, a cool, calm night.
